Sue Kruse

Sue Kruse

Sue Kruse has been a member of TCSHRM since 2008 serving on the Professional Development team, the Mentoring program, and as a Team Lead for Programs. She joined the board in 2013 as the VP of Programs.

Sue is currently a Regional Manager for Perkins and Marie Callender's Restaurants. She has over 15 years of progressive human resource experience in organizational development and expertise in coaching others to tap into their strengths to leverage continued success.

Sue holds a Bachelor of Science business degree from St. Cloud State University in Management and has been SPHR certified since 2009.

Sue Kruse is Senior Director of Training and Development at Perkins and Marie Callender's Inc. PMCI operates and franchises over 500 family restaurants throughout the United States and Canada.

Kruse has over 20 years of experience increasing revenue, profit margins, individual, and operational performance. She is a strategic thinker with expertise in mentoring, developing, and coaching others to tap into their strengths to leverage continued success.

Kruse is an active in the industry as a member of the CHART and Twin Cities Human Resources Association.

VP College & University Relations

Emily Savaria

Emily Savaria joined TCSHRM in 2011 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017 as the VP of College and University Relations.

Emily spent four years in Human Resources prior to her current role as a Senior International Marketing Analyst at Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources and Business Administration from Winona State University. She has been PHR certified since 2013 and SHRM-CP certified since 2015.

VP Finance

Skip Bolton

Skip Bolton

Skip is the Head of Human Resources (US) for Bilfinger Water Technologies a global leader in water and industrial filtration systems. Skip has more than 20 years of Human Resources experience in multi-state and multi-country manufacturing organizations. He has been a leader of Human Resources and Administration teams at private and public companies, and has been Owner and President of his own start-up organization from 2003 to 2006. Skip has also served as a member of the Dakota/Scott county Workforce Investment Board.

Skip has an MBA from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and a BS in Business Finance from the Curt Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, MN. He has been certified an SPHR through HRCI, and has completed his SHRM-SCP in 2015.

VP Legislative Affairs

Casey Enevoldsen

Casey Enevoldsen has been a member of the TCSHRM community since 2013 and currently serves on the TCSHRM Board of Directors in the role of Vice President, Legislative Affairs. He began volunteering with TCSHRM on the Spring Conference Team with responsibilities of sourcing and selecting conference programming as well as serving in the role of Spring Conference Co-Team Lead. Prior to joining TCSHRM, he was an active member of the Southern Minnesota Area Human Resource Association (SMAHRA) in Mankato, MN, and served on the SMAHRA Board of Directors in the role of President from 2010-2013.

He currently serves as an Organizational Development Manager for Lunds & Byerlys. In this role, he is responsible for leading corporate initiatives in talent acquisition, training and development, and talent management.

Casey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in Management and has been SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified since 2015.

VP Marketing

Julie McCauley

 Julie McCauley

Julie is a Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Integrated Healthcare Strategies, a nationwide healthcare consulting firm. She is responsible for directing all areas of human resources including compensation, employee recruitment, coaching, employee relations, performance management, career and succession planning, training programs, etc. She brings more than twenty years of progressive human resource leadership experience. She studied Business Administration at St. Thomas University and has been SPHR certified since May of 1996 and SHRM-SCP certified since 2015.

VP Membership

Becky Hass

Becky joined TCSHRM in 2010 and began volunteering on the Member Engagement & Retention Team, primarily focusing on New Member Orientations. She later became a Team Lead for two years and joined the TCSHRM Board as the VP of Communications in January 2016. This spring she has transitioned on the Board to the VP of Volunteering.

Becky graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with majors in Human Resource Management and Organizational Management. She currently is the Human Resources Manager at Conservis Corporation. Becky has been PHR certified since 2012 and SHRM-CP certified since 2015.

VP of Professional Development

Briana Gronwall

Briana joined TCSHRM in 2010 after graduating from UW-Madison with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. She has served on the Programming Team, Spring Conference team, and has lead the Webinar Team. Briana was awarded volunteer of the year for 2013/2014. Now Briana joins the board as the VP of Finance.

 

Briana has been at AVI Systems for 5 years and is currently the Human Resources Generalist. She partners with mid and senior level management to provide consultative human resources support, ensure alignment of business objectives, work cultures, and human resources programs/policies to facilitate the company with achieving its business goals while minimizing risk. Briana has been PHR certified since 2012 and SHRM-CP certified since 2015.

Melissa Hoepner

 

Melissa Hoepner has been a member of TCSHRM since 2003, serving on the Programs Team since 2013.  She joined the board of directors in February 2017 as the VP of Programs.

Melissa is an HR Consultant for Salo.  She has over 20 years of progressive Human Resources experience, helping companies navigate change, optimize HR processes, build company culture, and drive business outcomes.  Specialties are:  Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Employer Branding, Employee Benefits, Wellness, Performance Management, Coaching, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Project Implementation.

Melissa holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

VP Volunteer Engagement

Katie Farley

As a dedicated volunteer, Katie has served as the Member Orientation Team Lead, part of the Member Engagement and Retention team, for TCSHRM since 2009, has coached youth sports at the YMCA, and also volunteered with People Serving People.

Katie is a results-driven Human Resource professional with extensive account management experience spanning over a decade. She has effectively partnered with hundreds of successful Minnesota companies to help them exceed their staffing, recruitment, and advertising goals. Relationship management and execution are her strong suits, especially in listening, problem solving, consulting, and goal achievement.

Since 2009, she has served as the Director of Business Development for Dolphin Group Companies, a major Midwestern human resources organization, specializing in contingent staffing solutions, human resources consulting, risk management, and payroll services. Steeped in experience, knowledge, and dependability, the Dolphin Group Companies encompass several specialized niches in human capital management to reach customers of all size and variety. The various niches provide employment for over 7,500 Minnesotans annually.

Michael Thul

As an HCM Consultant for ADP, Michael helps companies streamline their back office administrative processes and reduce risk. He has spent over 6 years in the technology industry and implemented over 50 HCM systems. Michael graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. Degree in Psychology. Currently, he lives in Lakeville, MN with his Wife and 3 Kids, all under 5 years old.

Jessie Novey

Jessie Novey has over 14 years of human resources and management experience that spans start-ups and established organizations. She has hands on experience leading and supporting HR initiatives including talent acquisition, HRIS implementations, training and development, organization design, leadership development, succession planning, employee relations, affirmative action, performance management and career progression.

Jessie is currently employed at C.H. Robinson as a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner where she is responsible for supporting a team of executives, managers and their staff. Her primary focus is leadership development, employee engagement, succession planning, organization design and compensation management. During her short time with C.H. Robinson, Jessie is most proud of her ability to successfully manage and administer C.H. Robinson’s global employee engagement survey.

Prior to working at C.H. Robinson, Jessie held human resources positions with Atterro, Mortenson Construction, Digital People and Castle Kitchens.

Jessie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Winona State University. She holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Twin Cities Society for Human Resources Management (TCSHRM). Furthermore, Jessie was a member of HR Connection (http://www.hrconnection.net/) for two years. As a member of HR Connection, Jessie had the opportunity to meet monthly with similarly situated HR Professionals to discuss best practices and hot topics. This membership gave Jessie the opportunity to network with other local HR professionals, gain insight from other professionals and share her knowledge.

Aside from her love for leadership development and employee engagement, Jessie has a strong passion for working with students and young professionals. While working as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist for Mortenson Construction, Jessie managed and lead their campus recruiting program. This position gave Jessie the opportunity to travel to colleges and universities throughout the U.S., establish relationships with students and faculty and launch careers for young professionals. Since leaving Mortenson Construction, Jessie has remained active in volunteering her time with students and young professionals through a few different non-profit organizations. Specifically, Jessie has volunteered with bestprep (https://bestprep.org/), Resource (https://www.resource-mn.org/media-page/career-compass-for-students-with-disabilities/) and is currently a mentor through TCHSRM. Through her relationship with TCSHRM, Jessie recently volunteered her time to judge a student case completion at the U of M Carlson School of Management and network with students at the fall student conference.

Donna Ploof

Donna has been working with Trusted Employees for over 13 years. She has completed FCRA Compliance Certification through NAPBS.  Specializing in FCRA Compliance, Criminal Background Checks, Employment Verifications and Drug Testing, Donna brings a broad base of expertise to help her clients.  Her speaking engagements take her around the country. As an expert trial witness, her knowledge is used to cover proper screening methods.  Donna is a member of TCSHRM and SHRM. As a former HRP-MN member, Donna spent over 6 years on the board as Secretary and VP of Membership.  She spent many hours volunteering at HRP events. Donna believes that being active in the HR community is important to understanding the needs and pressures of the HR professional. She lives with her husband, daughters and two cats in Chanhassen, MN.

Brandon Raaf

Brandon is a Health and Benefits Consultant for Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage and consulting firm. He helps businesses maximize their human capital investment through innovative HR and employee benefit strategies focused on technology, engagement, organizational wellbeing and risk management. With more than 10 years of experience in the benefits industry, Brandon has a diverse background working with HR teams supporting organizational strategy, employee communications and HCM technology.

Prior to joining TCSHRM, Brandon was an active HRP-MN member since 2014 and served as a board member for two years leading sponsorship initiatives and volunteering at a variety of events. He is also an active volunteer on the MN SHRM State Conference planning team and studied Business and Marketing Education at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Gebi Tufaa

Gebi Tufaa has over 12 Years of Human Resources Management Experience working in public and private sector in the Twin Cities metro area. Currently he is working as Human Resources Consultant at the City of St. Paul, Parks and Recreation Department.

Prior to joining the City of St. Paul, Gebi worked as Human Resources and business consultant for small to mid-size businesses and non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities. Due to a decade of experience in transpiration industry, Gebi provided high level consulting services to business owners and helped them grow their businesses. Gebi also worked as Director of Human Resources for mid-sized transportation company for more than 8 years prior to staring his consulting business. As strategic business partner, Gebi has served in Human Resources field at various capacities and was instrumental in helping new entrepreneurs and executives to succeed and their business thrive.

Gebi has been an active member of SHRM since 2015 and was a member of HR Professionals of Minnesota and he is currently an active member of TCSHRM. In addition to HR profession, he serves on non-profit boards. Currently he serves as a board secretary of HIRPHA International, a Minnesota based humanitarian organization. Gebi also serves as a board member for Oromo Chamber of Commerce in the Twin Cities and serves as boar member for Oromo Community of Minnesota for more than four years.

Gebi earned his MBA and MA in Leadership from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Gebi also earned his MS in Education and Training System Design from the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands and BA in Chemistry from Asmara University Eritrea. In addition, to his diverse work experience and eductional background, Gebi is fluent in Afaan Oromo and Amharic languages. He can play a vital role in bringing diverse and unique cultural perspectives to the members of TCSHRM and help this organization to increase its scope of community outreach.
