Who we are

Twin Cities SHRM (TCSHRM) is one of the largest SHRM chapters with over 1,000 members. Founded in 1951, we celebrated 70 years strong in 2021 and became Pinnacle Award Winning Chapter! In 2022, we won another Pinnacle Award for our ground breaking What the HR! Podcast and became a back to back Pinnacle Award winning chapter.

Our theme for 2024 is Architects of Change. The workplace has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, with rapid advancements in technology, a surge in the pace of business, and the arrival of artificial intelligence. This dynamic shift has not only affected the way we work but also the way we live and interact with one another. It has emphasized the significance of building meaningful connections and fostering a sense of belonging in the work we do and the teams we collaborate with. In this ever-changing landscape, HR professionals have emerged as the Architects of Change

TCSHRM is a premier professional Human Resources organization. We are committed to driving high standards of competence, influencing employers to effectively utilize human resources and advocate for important human resource issues. We are proud to hold a SHRM Super Mega chapter status with over 1,000 professionals who work in a variety of key industries including: business, education, retail, food and beverage, finance, insurance, manufacturing, civic organizations and many more. Each year, we provide the highest quality professional development, information exchange, and networking opportunities for the Human Resource professional. We drive connection and innovation through our many monthly events, and our annual Spring and Fall Conferences. We believe deeply in focusing on the strengths of our members and volunteers and are proud to be CliftonStrengths based organization.

To promote high standards of competence among members and contribute to their career development in a manner which will enhance their effectiveness as human resource professionals. To influence and enhance member-employing organizations through the effective utilization of human resources. To educate and inform members, educators, legislators, and the public on important human resource issues.
