At your first event, a Member Ambassador will welcome you including:
• Greet you when you arrive and invite you to sit with them during the event.
• Get to know your interests and needs and provide relevant information about the event and TCSHRM.
• Introduce you to key individuals such as TCSHRM Board of Directors members, TCSHRM staff, and other participants to help you start building meaningful connections.
• Check in with you during breaks and throughout the event to answer questions and offer help with anything else needed.
• Follow up with you after the event to answer additional questions and provide further information about TCSHRM or upcoming events.

As a Member Ambassador, your responsibilities include:
- Participate in the team’s quarterly informational meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with written communication provided by the New Member Ambassador Lead including new member information, upcoming scheduled events, ambassador volunteer assignments, and membership and event promotions.
- Interact with new members as assigned during in-person chapter meetings, programs, conferences, and socials:
- Greet and welcome new members.
- Invite new members to sit with you during the event to help them feel welcome and start making connections with other participants.
- Interact with new members to learn about their interests and needs and share information about the event and TCSHRM as needed.
- Introduce new members to Board of Director (BOD) members, TCSHRM staff, and others to help them make significant connections.
- Check in with new members during breaks and before the event is over to help ensure a positive experience, answer questions, connect them with others, or share information on TCSHRM as needed.
- Conduct phone/video calls with new members as assigned:
- Welcome and interact with new members to answer questions, understand their interests and needs, and share information about TCSHRM as needed.
- Provide introductions to BOD members, volunteers, and others to help them make significant connections.
- Follow-up with new members after the initial call to help ensure a positive experience, connect them with others, or share information on TCSHRM as needed.
- Interact with New Member Ambassador Lead, BOD members, and TCSHRM staff during events to support any new member-related needs that arise.
- Follow up with the New Member Ambassador Lead and new members as needed after events.
